Concrete? The rough-and-tough grey material poured into molds and turned to stone? Nope! Concrete – (adj.) real or solid; not abstract. 

Writing is only interesting if it contains specific, concrete details. Beth Johnson explains this well in her article, “Let’s Get Specific.” When writing is a blur of nothingness, readers absorb NOTHING! Just like, when it rains, concrete absorbs water, readers absorb concrete details! Let’s get concrete in our writing.
