I don’t know much about farming or the economy. What I do know is that farms need laborers, and it looks like the raise in minimum wage is making it hard for some farmers to break even. This article right here Talks about how some farms are struggling due to long hours, low wages, and lack of man-power, whereas other farms, especially in Napa Valley, are succeeding. They are more esteemed and their bottles of wine sell for $300, as opposed to grocery store-priced wine.
I don’t know the solution, but it is clear that this is a problem. I hope we can find a way to fix it.
